About J & M Bakery

Located at 30-10 36th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11106, J & M Bakery operates as an asian bakery serving Long Island City in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Long Island City. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in New York are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 6 AM–6 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach J & M Bakery at (718) 784-1511; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 53 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian bakeries in Long Island City.

Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Island City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Empanadas! At a reasonable priceβ€”in Astoria/LIC! A miracle! Chicken empanadas are best. The beef and egg are a little on the salty side for me. Humble place, very popular with the Latino community in the area. I hope they continue to do well.

Empanadas are yummy. Coffee good and cheap. Chicharron is also yummy. Keep going. Ladys are very nice and polite.

Pan de bono and pan de yuca are my personal favorites especially while fresh. Yuca bread gets stale fast. Mixed empanadas including spinach and cheese, Colombian style beef and potatoes. Prices are excellent and coffee is strong

I’ve been going to this store for years! Ever since I was little, I mostly go there for the empanadas I love the chicken and potato with beef I think their so delicious πŸ₯Ÿβ˜•οΈπŸ€ (the drinks in the picture are pineapple and apple flavored)

A really nice place to stop by and have a snack. Food here is affordable and good. I usually prefer Dunkin Donuts across the street but the coffee here actually tastes more fresh sometimes. I would recommend the Arepa. I never had Arepa before and was surprised the bun wasn't wheat based but potato. The Empanadas are actually pretty good also. I prefer the beef but they also have chicken. The best time to come is probably early morning. A lot of the stuff goes stale by late noon. Not sure if they restock but the stale stuff is still tasty. Except for the cookies. Cookies are always good here. Management there is nice as well.
